A Message from the Owner - June 2024
Dear Valued Clients, Can you believe it’s already June? How did we get through almost half of the year so quickly? Time really does fly!
Because of this I make it a point to practice mindfulness, even on busy days. Being present helps me fully appreciate each moment, whether it’s something that makes me smile, piques my curiosity, or provides important information.
I enjoy practicing being mindful by simply watching the scene unfold as I tune into my senses. Example, I'm at the farmers market, and as I walk in that direction I bring my awareness to my feet, my spine, my stride and then my gaze. As I connect with my body, I then draw my attention to my breath for a few rounds and then begin to take on the environment. I continue to repeat this process as I walk around and try to not let my mind pull me to other matters that are unrelated.
There is a great book that can help you understand and learn this practice; its called The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer... (I may have mentioned it before) it is well written and easy to digest.
This summer I’ll have to be especially mindful as I work on projects at Bear River and entertain my son who’s on summer break. It’s a balancing act and I love it all!
